Howl-o-ween or Wedding? How am I ever going to choose?

Stamp Club is Wednesday and the new Holiday Catalog is available for ordering on Tuesday, and there will be new items posted for weekly specials on Tuesday.

So if you have errands to run, get that done today so you don't have any interruptions tomorrow or Wednesday.  Priorities people!

This is one of the options Stamp Club members will have on Wednesday. I know it looks like two cards, but it is one option--sometimes people just really don't want to make a Halloween card, even though these products are irresistible and stinkin' cute -- so I have made an alternative that is also stinkin' cute.

The focal point is kind of lost on camera, but sparkly and fantastic in person, BOO! is die cut from black glimmer paper and popped up on dimensionals, and definitely prominent. Also, the vellum is much more sheer in real life, so the skulls show through nicely.

Isn't the black doily awesome. The package includes 24 doilies, they are just a little shiny, so you can rub versamark on them and emboss if you want, they aren't too shiny. Which makes them nice to change up to suit your needs.

The alternate card is a wedding card but could be a congrats or shower card. I embossed the base with the new brick embossing folder then used a marker to make "graffiti" of the wedding couples initials in a heart. Some washi tape, the flower die cut is Dazzling Diamond glimmer paper and the sentiment is from the stamp set Cottage Greetings. Super cute! I think the bricks need some sponging to really make them stand out behind the vellum, I might have to go back and add some ink.

We had a rainy weekend and I had to pull out some photo equipment to get enough light to take these pictures. My little dog was desperate for warmth and light and jumped into the frame every chance he got, just to take advantage of the hot lights. And they weren't really that much of a help! But here he is, since he was hogging the limelight.

There is still room for you in Stamp Club, if you can make it to Arlington Heights once a month and you would like to pat Marky's head and make some cute cards.Just leave a comment or give me a call or email and I'll fill you in on the details.

Happy Stamping!

Christmas countdown

Oh, Boy, pictures do not do justice to these gorgeous cards. Put down your computer, get in the car and come on over. . .  it will be worth the trip! The first card has red FOIL shiny red FOIL!!! It is so fabulous and so affordable! You have to order this! Go ahead and order two packages, one to use and one to horde, because we all love to save this kind of stuff for "someday" but you must use this great stuff!

And look behind the foil, there is a fun new embossing folder  called Softly Falling, this beauty is 6"x6", so even though the snow is clustered at one side, you can make a horizontal OR vertical card because the folder is so big the card front will fit in either direction! And it will fit in the wrong direction, so be sure you are doing it correctly, or you will have snow falling UP, which looks funny. Or falling sideways, which looks even funnier!
The second card is stamped, while the first card was die cut. Heat embossed in white embossing powder, then sponged with red ink, then green ink, repeat. It was fun and it looks great!

Third card was also white embossing powder, but black card stock. So striking!

And the final card has the sentiment in white embossing powder on DSP (designer series paper) but the ornament is Cherry Cobbler embossing powder. So gorgeous! All four cards and almost no ink except VersaMark!
I'm working on my calendar, planning a few classes and a Shoebox Swap for Christmas Cards. If you would like to host an event or need a class topic to hit the schedule, let me know ASAP!

The Holiday Catalog will be available for ordering on September 1st. Do you have your copy? Leave a comment here if you still need one.

Is anyone counting yet? Christmas is still pretty far off!

Just a few more days until we can order from the Holiday Catalog. And honestly, Christmas stamps will not be the first thing I order. I know, that may be shocking, but true.

First, I think it is so far off. Then I won't be able to decide between all the gorgeous choices. Then suddenly it will be panic time! And I'll be ordering a giant pile of everything because I don't have time to make a smart decision, I have to just act. And then I'll be up till 3 am stamping an overly complicated masterpiece because once I start I can't stop and re-think my plan.

So, now you know how my system works, I'm begging you, don't do what I do! Ha ha.

These four beauties are all featuring Flurry of Wishes stamp set and Punch. If you don't have the Big Shot or just love the snowflakes, there is a new punch that pops the small and medium flakes out at the same time and the large snow flake fits into the Flower Medallion punch, AWESOME, since we all own that already, right? Well, if you don't, here's another great reason to jump on that bandwagon, friend!

And stock up on the sparkly stuff -- snow flakes just beg for silver glimmer paper, silver ribbon, rhinestones, there are new and ever more fabulous rhinestones in the new catalog!

If you are bopping around to some of the other ladies who attended this event with me, you will see variations on these cards, I have turned one of mine from vertical to horizontal, mostly because I stuck fifty-two dimensionals on the panel and then realized I stuck them on the front of it, so I had to flip the panel; and it looked funny so I turned it sideways to make it look better, and then I had to totally change the sentiment treatment when I got home.

If you need a catalog to start looking at Christmas or Halloween and Thanksgiving stamps, leave me a little comment. I would love to help you out.

And my Stamp Club will be kicking off Wednesday, September 2. We currently have 2 seats available. We would love to have YOU join us! It is fun, cheap, fun, lively and fun. If you have any questions, just leave a little comment and some way that I can reach you.

Happy Stamping!

Don't "leaf" me, I'll "Fall" for you

It is August, and it is blazing hot, so it must be time to start thinking about Autumn, right? Well, at least we can start looking at pretty autumn cards.

These beauties were offered as samples of the Lighthearted Leaves bundle in the current catalog, a stamp set and framelit combo with a bundle discount -- everyone loves a discount!

I attended a Stamping Event offered by Glenda Travelstead, a wonderfully generous local demonstrator, who organized a day to make 20 samples of current and upcoming cards to showcase Stampin' Up! products. If you are available on a Saturday and want to join me, the next event will be Sept 12 and it is always awesome. Leave me a comment and I'll be thrilled to bring you along as my guest. No limit, so comment away!

The second card had a few more details to make it look more like a pumpkin, but I chose to  make it a bit easier, what do you think?

And the last card needs a sentiment, but I want to wait until I need it and choose the sentiment at that time, leaving it available for a sympathy, get well or masculine birthday. It really is very versatile. It could use some dazzling diamonds if it isn't going to be a sympathy or masculine, a little jazzing up, right?! I'm sure there was something there to make it sparkle and I left it off, thinking of the possibilities if I kept it CAS (clean and simple).

Don't forget to check out the weekly specials -- shop now -- Every Tuesday Stampin' Up! tempts us with some new and fantastic opportunities to spend, I mean, SAVE, some money on current products at a discount!

Stamping stuff posted here

I will totally apologize right now to all of you who thought you were going to see some kind of fabulous transformation other than a stamping kit when you visited my last blog post. I fully expected my pictures to be shared on facebook, not just a tease of  the blog post headline, making you come here to see the kit when you thought you were going to see something more dramatic. I don't know what you were looking for, but my visitors statistics went through the roof! Someone tell me, and I'll try to help you out!

I did lose some weight, but the photos are not that exciting, there is a turkey-lurkey chin,bat-wing arms and a smile that goes from ear-to-ear! Nobody wants to see anything more than that, I guarantee!

Now when it comes to transforming card stock into super cute cards, snowmen and penguins certainly help out in the cute department!

These guys are a sneak peek from the Snow Place stamp set and framelits that will be in the Holiday catalog starting September 1st. I attended a fun & exhausting stamp-a-thon Saturday where we were invited to make 20 cards. These were 20 over-the-top cards, and I made about 12, brought home 7 to finish, and called one of them a total hopeless case that just was never gonna get made. Out of the question. So, over the next week we will be looking at 19 great cards --all from 5 stamp sets that I DID NOT order!

And I ordered a BUNCH of stuff!

So come back here when you get your hands on a catalog, and CASE (copy and steal everything) these cards that we made!

Call me or leave a comment and I'll be happy to get you a catalog!

 Happy Stamping!

Before & After shots -- fabulous transformation!

Fabulous, you will find yourself saying this over and over, I know it! The silver envelope liners, the wood elements, the beautiful printing, the oversize cards, the beautiful sequins -- it is all just FABULOUS!

And when you buy this kit, at the list price of $16, you can join us on Tuesday August 25 to assemble, use my stamp set and ink, adhesive and extras! No Extra Charge! FABULOUS!

But if you can't make it on Tuesday, just order the stamps for yourself, they are fantastic, versatile and I'll throw the extras into your order, because I love ya'!
And I think you need a cute coaster and a little gift bag and there might be a few more by then, who knows?!

Also, I have a couple of these great frames available, large picture frames with chicken wire stapled to the back, ready to display your creations or the cards you have received, or that you have for sale! They are sturdy and light weight and ready to go! Just leave me a comment and I'll fill you in on the details.

Sneak a boo peak then grab a deal

There's a free prize today, maybe two, so listen up! My pre-order arrived, and I carved some time to make a card with this d-d-d-darling set called Howl-a-ween. I thought it was too busy and was going to start surgery to un-do something, but then I took a picture and looked at it -- and I kinda like it better in the picture than in real life. Hmmm. Interesting.

Well, anyway, I was thinking of you, and how sad it is that you can't have any of these goodies until September, unless you want join Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator, which would be awesome! But if you just want to place an order or sign up for a class, that's cool too. So I'm working on my calendar and scheduling a Craft Club with the first meeting on Wednesday August 26 at 7 pm at my house. I'm ordering the Cottage Greetings card kit and we will make the cards plus a few extra goodies, for just $20. Mention you saw this blog post or Facebook post and two lucky folks will win all the fixin's to make this card: the new doily, the ribbon, the base and brick embossed panel and the stamped die-cuts, ready to assemble. Call or text me today, I'm placing the order tonight! Got it? Place an order or sign up for the class by 8:00 pm today, Wed. Aug 12 to win. My number is 847 then 624 - 0353

Don't forget the awesome weekly deals. You must have the tag topper punch if you haven't ordered it already!
Happy Stampin!

Deals, Deals, Deals

I believe this is the last of my swap cards from the Stampin' Up! convention that I want to share with you. I have already posted it on Facebook, but it never got shared here on the blog. It seemed straight forward enough when I planned it, but when I was coloring the 30th wreath, and cutting the 30th wreath on the BigShot, it starts to seem like a bit of work! But I still love it!
I had an open house Wednesday to introduce Stamp Club, if you couldn't make it but would like some info, just shoot me an email or leave a comment. We need some new friends to join us. Everyone has heard all my stories and they are ready for some new faces to liven up the table time. When we have fresh opinions and experiences, everyone learns new techniques and hears about different products and uses for old products. So please feel welcome to join in! It's just $15 a month, everyone can afford that!
Weekly Deals are great this week, but even better, the CLEARANCE RACK has been re-stocked with great fun stuff! Click here to grab some super duper savings!
