4 cute cards for all occasions, using your free products

How do you feel about your once-a-month activities?

I offer a class at the Crestwood Library one evening a month, where we make 4 cards and the participants pay a small fee. This is one of the highlights of my month, because there is such enthusiasm for this event. There is only room for 12 people in the classroom, and the chairs are all filled every time. Most of the people are repeat attendees, so of course the cards have to be fresh every month. Many of the people have never used a rubber stamp before, or at least never had any training, so they are thrilled to learn how to get great results.

Because the students are so excited, I am excited to work with them. They struggle to make their card look exactly like the sample, OR they evaluate the sample, then modify their card to suit their taste or needs. Which is very exciting for me, to see people indulging their creativity!

The class starts at 6:00, so I arrive at 5:30 to set everything up. Lately, I am the 5th or 6th person to arrive, which makes me laugh -- half my class is there before I can even set up. They have questions, requests and they just want to be helpful setting up AND they are so excited to take this class that they show up 30 to 40 minutes early!

This is why I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! For the love of  the crafting and doing it with people, socializing while I craft!

If any of this sounds like fun to you, let me know. We can set up a class that you can enjoy OR we can get you signed up as a demonstrator and you can bring the craft fun to your neighborhood!

These are the four cards we made in March. The top one uses the Barn Door bundle. We made a swinging door instead of a sliding door, just because it is a little easier. Still fun to have a moving element on the card front!

Next is a card using the Tutti Frutti card set you may have chosen as a free gift during Sale-a-Bration. That sale is over, but lots of you have the product in-hand and may need an idea of what to do with it!

The third card gave everybody the nervous-nellies. The two front pieces are "memory cards" from the Sweet Soiree Memory Card pack, also a Sale-a-bration item. I gave everyone 1 pattern card and 1 sentiment/blank card. They could add the sentiment card and have a no-stamping card or use the blank card (like the one shown) to stamp a sentiment. Since each packet had a different selection of cards, there was much trading, commenting, requesting a different combo. That was great, because everyone got to see all the cards that came in the pack and learn about our Memory Keeping options.

Finally, there was this Blossom card, which was super fun to watch everyone make. They were thrilled to learn that this is one big stamp, inked in one color. The stamp does all the work! Plus, everybody loves a card with some pink glimmer paper!

Happy Stampin',
Dee Tollaksen
