Simple Interest

Every time I make a card, it starts with the 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of cardstock, folded in the middle. And then it gets interesting. Stamps, inks, layers, textures, embellishments. So many options, and so many possibilities.

In this case I designed a card that chopped off a piece of the basic card base, just trimmed one inch off the front. But then I layered a strip of Designer Paper on the inside of the card, so it is a very simple peek-a-boo situation. I used the Stitched Nested Label dies to create the black and white labels and stamped a sentiment. I added some  silver trim and Enamel Dots to add some textural interest. A fun easy card to create.

If you want to speed things up or are not a Big Shot owner, you can use punches or just square cut elements to create your sentiment and use only enamel dots or rhinestones for your embellishments. Either way, the card is fun and interesting, with a nice alternative style.

Happy Stampin',
