Say "So Long" to Sweet Soiree designer series paper, unless you shop now and grab it at a discount! This gorgeous DSP is a specialty paper, thick and embossed with silver highlights. We used this 3" x 4" panel on our first card at stamp club, and it says it all for you! Beautiful floral images, provides a color palette and mood of celebration. We added silver embossing on the sentiment and loaded the card with beautiful ribbons. Then we used Smoky Slate cardstock for the base, which always "reads" as silver, to me!
Because it is the end of the Stampin' Up catalog season, I am focused on enjoying these ribbons before they retire, so our second card also has ribbon featured. The Wood Words stamp set offers these sanded shapes, a plain old circle would be fine, but when it looks scraped, or sanded, that adds a ton of interest to the image, right?!
We used the Polka Dot embossing folder to texturize the Pool Party cardstock, tying-in the circle images. Simple, fun and ready for any occasion.
The final card included more ribbon, just a little hit of white, and there were lots of options to choose from, silky, fuzzy, gold-trimmed, so every card was a little different.
We embossed the main panel, again, this time with the Brick embossing folder, which unfortunately has already sold-out. Not to worry, we offer tons of other folders, any of which would work to add texture to your projects!
Also featured is the Cool Treats stamp set and matching Frozen Treats framelits, both of which are retiring SOON! The framelits are on clearance, so you can save a bit!
We used a panel of designer series paper to tie the colors together, everyone opens their packet to find what paper they have. By this time of the year, I have lots of bits and parts of sheets, so I like to show how many different patterns and styles will work equally well. Everyone compares cards and chats about the options.
June is the end of this Stamp Club calendar, we will start a new season in September, with a kick-off party in August. We love new members, because your creativity will contribute to everyone's enjoyment! Comment or email me for more details!
Happy Stampin,
Dee Tollaksen
