wrap wrap wrapping up 2017

Stamp Club continues to be the highlight of the month around here! We make three cards, look at samples, make friends, receive every new catalog as soon as they are released, and have tons of fun while learning new techniques and stamping styles.

In December we made three "all occasion" cards, since it was too late to order and create a pile of Christmas cards!  I want you to study this first image closely -- note the tiny touches that make it extra special: the flowers are stamped on watercolor paper and spritzed with water to make them softer, there is just a teeny bit of sparkly ribbon tucked under the flower image, a couple strips of washi tape add depth and interest, the copper foil is also tucked under the focal point square and a tiny bit of natural twine is layered to look like a wreath. Also we stamped the base with the new Burlap background stamp, to keep it interesting. If you have read this far, is there anything weird going on here? Prize for the first person to comment and tell me What doesn't belong in this picture? I guess a bit of fussy cutting made it's way onto this beauty without permission!

The second card focuses on DSP and a bit of a fun-fold. The front panel is trimmed about 1/2 inch so you can see a sliver of coordinating DSP peeking out from inside the card.

And our third card was very popular, just a few layers of Basic Black and Real Red and then I modified a stamp a bit to tuck the wine glass into the sentiment. And there is the fussy cut image that snuck onto card one! This one is colored, so the errant one was definitely an extra that didn't want to be tossed! If you are loving this Half-Full stamp set, you better get on it! The Holiday Catalog retires at the turn of the year, so order NOW!

I know you are here to see cards and such, but if you keep scrolling, there is a little Christmas treat for you. LOL

Layla and Eric! She was here this month for her Baptism and we were thrilled to visit with my son Steve and his whole family! Layla turned 9 months this week, Eric is 3-1/2 and Danielle does a great job of documenting and sharing their lives!

I love that no matter how much we offer children all kinds of options in toys, books, shows and activities, boys LOVE super heroes, firemen, swords and competitions! We will just have to see how Layla chooses--but I'll bet I can predict. . .

Tomorrow, I have a couple samples from the new catalog and FREE Sale-a-Bration brochure! And my Stamp-a-Ratus is scheduled to arrive today!!! Feel free to call, text or just show up to help me test it out!

Gotta go -- UPS is out front -- with my Stamp-a-Ratus!!!

Happy Stamping,
Dee Tollaksen
