Day Seven

The weather in Salt Lake City is almost identical to Chicago, so I am on a trip but there are no sunny skies or ocean beaches. . . What am I doing here?!? Soaking up new ideas and motivation to bring back to you! And a few fun meals and activities with my stamping buddies. If we aren’t friends on FB, go request me — I‘ll be posting a  bit to share.

Today I’m sharing the Day 7 project of our “12 Days of Christmas” inspiration event. These gift packages were designed by my friend Dawn D. and they are quick, pretty and fun to make. Here are the instructions and supplies (Sorry no pics of supplies, can’t get the IPad to do everything the computer will do):

Here are two pizza boxes using the same color palette but with different looks.
                 1. Left Hand Box: Cut Real Red Cardstock to 3 3/8" square. Add a piece of Quilted Christmas DSP cut to 3 1/8" square.
2. Ink up Labels to Love Merry Christmas stamp in Real Red ink. Using a cotton swab, remove the Real Red ink from the small trees at the top of the stamp and color them with the Garden Green Marker. Stamp on Whisper White Cardstock and cut out with Everyday Label punch. Cut die from Lots of Labels framelit with 4th die from the smallest one (middle of the 7 sizes).
3. Cut three pieces of Quilted Christmas ribbon (about 4" each) and attach on top of the DSP. Use Dimensionals to attach the Label piece to the project.
4. Right Hand Box: Cut Garden Green cardstock to 3 3/8" square. Before attaching to pizza box, wind Silver and Red Mini Tinsel around all four corners. Attach to pizza box with Dimensionals.
5. Stamp Deck the Halls from Carols of Christmas stamp set in Garden Green and remove the ink from "THE" with cotton swabs. Color "THE" with Real Red Marker. Cut out design with largest square from the Stitched Shapes. Mount to 3 1/8" square piece of Quilted Christmas DSP with Dimensionals and attach DSP to Garden Green.
6. These pizza boxes are a great idea for gift giving - you can fit candy, jewelry, gift cards and other items in them!
