Sunrise, sunset, another day flies by

Stamp Club is a major highlight of the month around here. I select fun cards to make, and try to keep them seasonal, useful, challenging but not difficult. In other words, I put a lot of thought into them so that the Club members can try new products but not feel like it is all about SHOP SHOP BUY BUY!!!

This month we used a super simple rectangle stamp to make the pattern of Mint Macaron color on color, as seen at left. It looks super simple, but it is kind of challenging to get the stripes to look even. But when you put the simple Night of Navy square and Crumb Cake square over the stripes, the eye is fooled into believing that the stripes are neat, even and beautiful, even if the;y aren't!

Add a bit of beautiful DSP (designer series paper) in a flower die cut or a star die cut and the card is ready to congratulate your favorite girl or guy graduate!
Next we brought out our Hostess Set Pun Intended and did a simple stamp of the light bulb after die cutting a big oval in the front of the card, making a peek-a-boo hole in the card. Add some DSP from the Pretty in Pink pack and an easy sponge of Daffodil Delight ink and the card is ready to go. We added some hearts around the face of the card, but that's optional.

The last card for May was the technique card, so I'm saving that for later, come back another time!

I will show you the cards I brought to Crestwood library. This class is so much fun for me, because it is like a workshop for my Mom every month. We do 4 cards and the library keeps the cost very inexpensive. Since it isn't a "sales" workshop I can use sneak-peek products and retired products, so it is a little extra freedom when I am designing. The first set will be available June 1st when the new catalog goes live. It is called
Wood Words and coordinates with a die for a wooden crate, this will see lots of use in my craft room!

The Happy Birthday thinlet was very popular with the class, it is sold all by itself, so it will be affordable, also in a bundle with a cute stamp set. Get your catalog and build your wish list, be ready for June 1st!!

The last card shown was our technique card, we made an "ink pad" from a diaper wipe using re-inkers just to try something new and interesting with supplies already in our stamp room. Quite pretty!

Call me for a catalog or to book a workshop of your own. June will be a bonus month for hostesses and I would love love love to be able to give you free stamps and supplies! Email or text me if you can't call, or just leave a message right here!

Happy Stampin'
