Spring Shoebox Swap #5 & 6

Everyone wants to be trendy, right? Thanks to Erica we enjoyed a twist on "unique folds" on a beautiful card she brought to the Spring Shoebox Swap.

It takes just a few seconds to score the paper and fold it in a new way but it takes your card to a whole new place! After folding the ends one-over-the-other we punched out a large circle at the fold. A scallop circle is adhered to the interior panel and it pops right through the large circle opening. Fabulous!

Not to mention that brown and pink are naturally beautiful together! A great card, keeping us on trend and adding a new fold technique to our collection.

Also keeping us right on-trend, Iris used banners and mix-n-match patterns. We were provided with more than enough samples of DSP, lovely textured paper for the base panel and some options in ribbon. Each Swapper could then personalize their card to their taste.

It takes a good eye to pull together these varieties, but the center banner has green and red, tying it to the base and the ribbon, the right panel is just green, tying it to the ribbon. The left panel is just blue, tying it to the sentiment.  There are flowers, stripes and dots, but just one on each of the banner panels. The three panels work well together because of their differences.

I appreciate that these ladies brought such lovely cards to the swap. When everyone makes the effort, we all go home with beautiful cards!

Remember that Stampin' Up! has loads of specials going on right now, but the FREE SHIPPING offer is good today (Sunday) and tomorrow only. Don't hesitate!

Happy Stamping,
Dee Tollaksen
