Day Eight

Oh heck, why am I so late posting this? A pile of stuff that you don't care about or need to know, but. . . here is project 8 of our "12 Days of Christmas" projects.

Julie designed this cutie using a frame from Kohls, but you could any frame you find; I like to scour the Goodwill stores, they always have lots of frames to choose from.  If you find this exact frame, you can follow her detailed instructions that follow. Remember that you can shop for the supplies easily by just clicking on any of the pictures in the Product List, below.  Shoot me an email if you want to get together to create this or if you need help ordering!

Happy Stampin,
Dee Tollaksen

 First Frame:
1. Cut Cherry Cobbler CS to fit frame.
2. Cut Whisper White CS layer leaving a 1/4" border for Cherry Cobbler to show.
3. Run white CS through the big shot with the softly falling embossing folder.
4. Cut small & large snowflakes from silver foil using the Seasonal Layers dies and use die brush to remove small pieces.
5. Attach white CS to cherry piece with adhesive.
6. Add glue does to center of each snowflake and attach to white CS. Add a rhinestone to center of each snowflake to cover glue dots.

Second Frame:
1. Cut Whisper White CS to fit 2nd frame or I used the white mat that came with that frame.
2. Cut Cherry Cobbler CS to fit white mat for a layer and then cut another white CS piece to layer on the cherry CS, leaving a 1/4" border.
3. On the white CS layer, using the Painted Harvest stamp set, stamp the 'wreath' using Garden Green ink, twice, rotating the stamp 180 degrees and reinking before stamping a second time. Stamp 'berries' with Cherry Cobbler ink.
4. Using the Large Letters dies, cut 'NOEL' from stamped image.
5. Attach white CS to cherry CS with adhesive.
6. Lay the 'O' so it's flat, inside the cutout of the 'O' and attach the inside piece of the 'O' with adhesive.
7. Add foam strips to the back of each letter and place back on the stamped image but move them over a bit so the Cherry Cobbler creates a shadow behind them. (Known as an eclipse)

Third Frame:
1. Cut Cherry Cobbler CS to fit 3rd frame.
2. Cut Merry Little Christmas DSP to fit on cherry CS, leaving a 1/4" border.
3. Attach DSP to cherry CS with adhesive.
4. Wrap the white 3/8" ribbon around the cherry CS to look like a gift package and add a bow with a glue dot.
Fourth Frame:
1. Cut Cherry Cobbler CS to fit inside 4th frame.
2. Cut Whisper White CS to layer on cherry CS, leaving a 1/4" border.
3. Using the tree stamps from Seasons Like Christmas, starting with the trunk, leave space above it for the star, stamp in Chocolate Chip ink. Stamp 4 times, 1 for each tree, leaving room in between for the actual trees.
4. Stamp the bottom layer of the tree in Wild Wasabi ink, 4 times again and the next layer of the tree in Garden Green ink, also 4 times.
5. Stamp the ornaments or berries in Cherry Cobbler on top of the green trees.
6. Stamp the stars on each tree using Daffodil Delight ink.
7. Add Glitter Enamel Dots, smallest yellow ones, on top of each star.
