Cards & Sales not to be missed

What would you do for your Mom? One of the things I do every month is run a card class at Mom's local library -- even though that locality is 50 miles from my house! And we make 4 cute and easy cards each month and the library only charges $5 for the class! I get to schedule a dinner date with Mom, make cards with friends AND I make a nice payday for running the class. Win-win-win situation!

These are the four cards from September -- very autumn themed and easy-peasy. The first one features the Spooky Cat bundle  from the holiday catalog. The square with the tree is from the coordinating DSP and is designed to be cut for making multiple similar cards. Great if you are making classroom treats or workplace treats or just for giving out to Trick-or-treaters! And if you are just starting to build stamping supplies, this card only requires a black ink pad in addition to the bundle. Nice!

Painted Harvest bundle makes these gorgeous sunflowers SO EASY -- just pick a color combo and go. The stamps totally lead you through the creation process.

Using the same Painted Harvest bundle, we stamped these two-step stampin' leaves and cut them out with the punch from the bundle. Two totally different cards from one bundle. Love the versatility!

Oh my gosh, you have to look close, but there is a kitty hiding in the flowers! This is called the Eclipse technique and looks so cool in-person. Just use the Wood Words floral stamp (this set is on sale right now!) and then the Cat punch to pop out the cat; punch a few more cats from coordinating cardstock, Dapper Denim in the sample, and glue all the cats into a stack and adhere the stack back into the "hole" you made on the card. Easy and very cool looking.

All the cards we make at this class are "mail-able" with little or no embellishments so there is no added postage penalty if you are mailing them. If you live in the Chicagoland south suburbs, why not call the Crestwood Library and join us next Monday evening? We will be making four more great cards you are sure to love.

If not, click on any of the links and drop the supplies into your cart and I'll send you a tutorial to help you re-create the cards you choose.

Remember to take advantage of the World Card Making Day sale before it ends on Oct. 10. There are 12 stamp sets and the note card packs on sale for 15% savings as well as a buy one Fast Fuse and get two refills free deal.

And the Designer Series Paper sale continues thru all of October -- select DSP is buy 3, get one free. Awesome!

Happy Stampin'
