Because I'm Happy do do do doo doo dooo do

 My friend handed me a book recently, One Word That Will Change Your Life. I got right to reading, because it seemed I must need changing. She gave me the book, right?  I thought things were going pretty well, but there I was, clutching the book that seemed to tell me I needed to change and that I had the answer right in my hand. And that it was going to happen in one word. And it is a fairly small book.

Turns out, I have to pick the word. And then I have to focus on it and center my life around it. And for me, this idea isn't new. Also, she gave the book to a bunch of people, so I can stop fretting that she had identified me as needing to change my attitude. Whew, that's a relief.

Because I'm happy! At least I try to be. And I feel like I spend most of my time gliding along, being grateful for all the blessings I've been given. I really love the Happy song by Farrell!

I know I leave this space pretty far down on my to-do list. If you need me, please leave a comment or shoot me an email. I am online, I just find blogging a little bit like work and I'd rather be crafting! So come on over and stamp with me!

I'm finishing up a major project that will culminate in a big ole party. My friend has had a lot of great events happen in her life this spring -- grads, engagements, retirements, so there is going to be one shindig, and the guest list keeps growing. So I keep making invites for her to send, the never ending project! They started in Crisp Cantaloupe and gold, then when I ran out they switched to silver and Pool Party. Pretty soon we will be working our way through the rainbow!

Farewell Party

It's like college graduation, everyone is super excited and unbelievably sad at the same time. Something super cool and exciting is around the corner, but you have to say goodbye to a lot of your really good friends that you've been hanging with for the last year or more.

So, the new Stampin' Up! catalog will go live June 2. I have a copy for you -- just leave me a comment and we can meet and drool over it together. . . or you can just collect it and take it home. Drooling is optional, but of course you will be drooling.

But I digress.

May Stamp Club was great fun, kind of a Farewell Party, where I got to say goodbye to some of my favorites. I have had a great time with the From the Herd stamp set, so I snuck the crazed bird into the lens of the camera on the first card. We used a stencil for the bright yellow stars, and even though it was a new technique for Stamp Club, no one needed any instruction -- it  just came naturally.

The butterfly card featured an In-Color, Crisp Cantaloupe, that is already sold out! As soon as word got out that the end was near, everybody went crazy and bought it all, so that color is gone for good!

Our third card featured the whimsical flamingo in Ronald McDonald stamp set. Stampin' Up! makes a $$ donation for every set sold, so its a win-win when folks buy this fun set. But it retires with this catalog and a new Ronald McDonald set will be available. Should be fun!

I have to pull all my retiring goodies and decide
 what to do with all of it. Any suggestions? No garage sale this year. Maybe a retirement party?

So I know that I get to go to Salt Lake City and spend 5 days with my stampin' friends partying and crafting and loading up my suitcases with stamps and samples.
